FALL 2024 PRODUCTION
Are you ready to step into the thrilling world of suspense and psychological drama? Hub City Theatre Company invites actors of all experience levels to audition for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton.
This dark, gripping play, based on a real-life murder case, is a masterclass in tension and intrigue. Set in a Manhattan apartment, Rope explores the chilling consequences of arrogance and the pursuit of intellectual superiority as two young men attempt to commit the "perfect crime"—and then host a dinner party with the victim's body hidden in the same room. As the night unfolds, the psychological cat-and-mouse game pushes each character to the edge, making for an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Prepare for a thrilling evening of suspense and intrigue! Hub City Theatre Company presents Rope, a gripping psychological drama by Patrick Hamilton. Originally staged in 1929, this timeless work dives deep into the minds of two men who believe they can get away with murder—not just for profit or passion, but for the thrill of committing the perfect crime.
Set against the backdrop of a seemingly ordinary dinner party, the tension rises as the audience watches the killers struggle to maintain their cool facade. To achieve this goal, we aim to present Jackson with a mix of new and familiar theatrical works (always looking for odd shows and/or intimate spaces to perform in) to entertain and to challenge our audience and bring together theatre artists from all walks of life and all levels of experience.
We strive to be a cornerstone of the greater Jackson area by establishing ourselves as a theatre company that is accessible to all, through our commitment to ensemble work and to creating a collaborative environment which fosters growth in audience and artists alike.

Our improv workshop is led by experienced teachers who have lived, performed, and taught improv comedy in various settings, bringing their expertise right here to Jackson. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone with a little experience under your belt, this workshop is designed to nurture your inner comedian and help you develop the essential skills of improv. You’ll learn the core fundamentals of improvisation, including thinking on your feet, reacting in the moment, and collaborating with your fellow performers.
